Breakthrough

When you feel like your life doesn't fit your ambitions any longer, it's time for a breaktrough. It feels you've grown out a jacket that doesn't fit you any longer. And more important, it's no longer possible for a tailor to make the adjustments to make the jacket fit. You have to accept that you don't have a jacket for a short period, untill you bought a new jacket that does fit you. A lobster has the same problem. When the lobster's body outgrows its shield, he has to throw it off entirely and is 'naked' for at least two days before his new shield has grown back, stronger this time! But in these two days he is a great catch for the larger fishes in the sea, and he has to hide with no food available to him. But he has to, he has to make this breakthrough innovation, because without it he will no longer be able to grow.

I heard the story of the lobster during a training last week. That morning I listened to one of my favourite podcasts, spiritualy hungry, by Monica and Michael Berg, in which they talked about serendipity. And the fact that signs from 'above' are available to us all day, but we just need to be more aware to actually see them. The lobster story was a sign for me. Life has become to comfortable and it therefore funny enough starts to itch a little. I cannot make a leap living the same life under the same conditions any longer. I can't really tell what exactly, but my gut feeling tells me it's time! The lobster story has been with me for a few weeks now. So I had to share it in this post. I hope to post a blog about my breaktrough soon, and will definitely let you know if it was worthwile to shake off my own shield for it. TBC!
